Hey thanks @Cod. Additional question if you don't mind as you apparently have a qashqai. The connector M187 on your schema does not have pins 28 and 29 populated, which are camera+ and gnd. But the 48 and 49 are connected for the around view. Do the cameras work normaly? As i can see those pins populated in the M49/43-44 connectors.

I have the original harness from a qashqai in which the unit came an there are wires present.

So.. no issues with the cameras whit this wiring?

Hi gents.

Does somebody knows specific name of that Male and Female connectors. They are different from old system (without AA / CP).

Hey,

So those 2 pins (28/29) are for the rear camera only, without the full AVM. If you have the Around View monitor, use pins 48/49

The Around view system worked perfectly when I tired it and the park assist.

I would just completely de-pin the original connector and work from the diagram. I have looked at a few on ebay that have the original connectors in place and the wiring has varied so much!

As you've got the original connectors, would you be able to tell me the part number on the grey FM/AM connector? It's the only one I can't find at the moment

Sorry, only just noticed this.

37 is the shield

My sheet should be correct

So:
M187 53 - M49 37 Aux Shield
M187 34 - M49 21 Aux R
M187 54 - M49 23 Aux L
M187 33 - M49 22 Aux Gnd

Bit confusing as they've mixed the colours up. I've not actually tested it though as i've never used the aux input.

M187 53 - M49 37 Aux Shield this is 100%, but i'll test the aux out tomorrow so I can be sure that all works

On the screenshot: *7 is with start/stotp
* is without start/stop

So I went through the diagrams an the missing pins Cod mentioned;

- list Vehicle Speed signal (M48 Pin 18), I think this is just not used anymore? i guess it can base speed of the GPS.. no idea.

HF/VR Mode Change (M187 Pin 51) - ok we figured out this is the mic.

MR Output (M49 Pin 30) - as far as i can tell this is the signal that switches the headunit from dark to light mode. As it's not connected that would explain why the unit is stuck in "dark mode", if its not a coding issue. But i've taken pictures of the original connectors:

They are all populated on the Cod diagram, except the 28,29 pins which are for the reverse camera - but on my harness they are not present in the original M49 so i guess thats ok then.

On thing that bothers me for the illumination, the M48 BG pin 9 is illumination + and M49 is pin 40 illumination -, but they connect to M186 pin 17 which is ignition (why wire it there cod?) and M187 pin 58 ILL (no polarity).

Could there be something swapped here? Have to test this out on my bench.

I assume the speed is pulled through the canbus but like you, no idea.

I believe I connected the illuminations cables based upon their amps. 2 were 5a and 2 were 10a. Though if you're testing it out on a bench and i've wired it incorrectly I'd love to hear! Mine is always in day mode and doesn't respond to the button or the lights tuning on. I'd just assumed it would work after coding.
I couldn't find the meaning of 'MR' anywhere BUT i've just looked again and have found this: M69 Pin 110 - Dimmer Signal. So it's very likely that needs connecting to either M187 Pin 58 or M186 Pin Pin 17

Although, looking at the wiring for the new headunit there is only one connection coming form the BCM and that's M187 Pin 44

So many bits that can only be confirmed by Nissan coding the unit. I'm still waiting for them to actually get the parts required for my warranty work!

Wow that is a lot, where are you based? I am sure dealers near me have quoted around 60 for that work

I'm in Cardiff.

Might try calling a different dealership if it's going to vary that much!
