Success guys! For some reason I lost the Park assist feature anyone know why? Someone mentioned because the AV Modules are different. Can someone verify if this is correct? Would it return if I replace that module? Does it need another re-code? Apart from that everything works 100%. I also need to do that microphone mod! Special thanks to @incipient who showed me the way :)

You need re-code your av module.

Does this mean keep the same one and re-code the AV module? Shouldn't everything have been recoded during the first recode?

Awesome! Glad most of it works!

Did the PA work before it was coded?

these are different procedures. Re write a radio and change encodings

But on the new radio, there are option for reverse park assist into a parking space or parallel park. I am not sure both of these options were available on my old radio only the parallel parking option I think was available.

What are the differences in hardware between a 2014 AV module and a 2019 AV module? I am not encoding to a very new car but one from 2014 so it is likely that there are hardware differences which means the AV module is not compatible

if it worked on the old HU, then on the new one it should work the same way.

Is there any way of downloading apps to the new HU without using the Nissan Connect app as the older chassis numbers are not compatible with that app

Hi there, so I finally got round to the microphone upgrade tonight but it made absolutely no noticeable difference to the echo. My old mic had 3 wires (red, white and black) and the new one also has 3 wires so no new wires needed to be run to the head unit. So I simply did a plug and play installation inside the console.

@cod, what is the additional pin for on the rear of the radio please as I didn't see a need for running a new wire given the same wire configuration.

For reference, this was my old microphone setup.

Hey Willow,

If you only had 3 cables on the new Micrphone, it's not the right Microphone.

The new one basically has 2 microphones, one being used for to cancel out the echo and has 5 cables.

On the picture of the microphone below, you can see the 5 wires on it, the black and white on the right are the new ones.

Second picture is the harness the comes from the car and plugs into the map light unit, the cables i've added are what need adding into it. The black one needs to go to ground and the white needs to go to pin 51 on the head unit harness. Pin 51 is the second mic signal cable.
