From my experience, Nissan You+ and Nissan Connect are a waste of time, my phone is connected via Bluetooth, once connected you can import your phone contacts using the connect system.

It just happens automatically doesn't it?
EDIT - not sure - in the manual under <Setup> [Telephone & Bluetooth] the manual suggests there's an import procedure:
[Download Phonebook Now]:
Select to download the phonebook to the vehicle from the chosen source.

I'm pretty sure, gloucester has got it, if I'm honest, I can't remember how I imported the phonebook to the connect system.
I'd just follow the instructions in, gloucesters post and see how you get on.

My experience :
On the Android phone. The settings page for Pairing has a tick box for permission to access your contacts/phonebook..last time I saw it on Android 8.1 (Oreo). Part of the page is below the screen view which needs a slight scroll down to the tick box. The Connect box sits there looking dumb if you don't tick that box.
My screen is 5 inches long and that page is longer than that.
Apple maybe different.....above my pay level.
