Hi

a couple of questions ref the J11 roof aerial please.

1. Is the roof aerial the same regardless of radio fitted - IE Acenta radio or N-Connecta etc etc ?
2. What is the connection to the back of the head unit - SMA ?

Many thanks for your time in answering this

Steve

.
I had a J11a (i.e. the first iteration of the mark 2 QQ)
That had a standard roof antenna mated to a DAB radio.
I couldn’t say 100% but it certainly appeared to be the identical antenna that was on the basic model (fitted with an AM/FM radio).

I don’t actually understand the second part of your question, sorry.

It appears to be the FAKRA (SMB based) standard as discussed and shown on this post:

Thank you for your answer .
The second part refers to what name is the tytpe of connector at the rear of the radio for the aerial

Many thanks

Ok , so with the help of a PM message via the link supplied above , I just need to establish the colour of the Fakra connector for the aerial.

Reason - I want to fit a splitter cable on the aerial lead as I have a nextbase DAB radio , and the supplied stick on aerial is terrible .

Many thanks

The combined Roof Antenna feed is:
Antenna to Pre Antenna Amp and to DAB/FM Rx
GPS Antenna to GPS Rx
AM is likely rear hatch screen

The car DAB Antenna performance is poor even with the Pre Amp. Constant DAB dropouts. VHF FM is better (reliable) overall.
