Hi I’m new here I have 2018 tekna diesel 4wd. I’ve more less just finished putting an android head unit in and have a couple of little niggles one being the following.

After attaching all the appropriate ISO leads I find I have a brown Fakra left which after a little research I understand to be a sub aerial cable whatever that is does anyone know if it is essential to the receiver I am having trouble with reception so have bought a y splitter and a fackra to male din does anyone think this will get rid of the issue or does anyone have a better idea?

How many Fakra coaxial cables are incoming from the roof? Got any pictures of the cabling at the rear.

The diagrams show two. One for AM/FM (DAB) receiver and the other GPS. The GPS cable should be supplying about 5 to 12 volts to the GPS roof amplifier. Test for that on each cable thus identifying the GPS cable.

The VHF/FM power feed is separate and should be off when Radio is not selected.. see diag attached:

A splitter is a device that causes a loss in signal strength. Not a problem if the signal is very strong of course.
