Hi all,

I bought the official Nissan kit to add 2x rear USB to my Qashqai - https://shop.nissan.co.uk/products/niss ... ke930hv500

The instructions show to pop off the rear cover, and disconnect the cable to the 12v socket. However, I don't see that connector, and the central storage box seems to go all the way to the floor basically. I can find the connector by lifting the coin tray / heated seat control panel, but from the opposite side of the cental storage box.

The kit says for >2017, and I have a 2019 Tekna. I wonder if it is truly compatible, or if the 2019 or Tekna makes it not compatible, or 'alternate guidance required' ?

Any help appreciated before i cut the panel!

Correct, I use that for CarPlay. The ones for the back of the console are just for power, for kids IPads and the like.....

All sorted now. Removed the cup holder area, connected the T- split loom to the power socket feed, fed the cable under the storage box, then cut the hole into the back panel.

Everything fitted perfectly and does what it's meant to do.

I think the instructions are for a Rogue and its shows LHD, so maybe the UK cars are different, but still compatible, if you try not to take too much notice of the instructions ;)

Yes was simple in the end... just nothing like the instructions and was a bit concerned the storage area would interfere with the sockets, and once I had cut the trim there would be no going back!

Good point, will try and get some 90degree cables, that also work with Apple devices....
