Hi,
1st post on the forum. I recently bought a 2011 1.5 diesel. Everything is perfect except that when the driver door is closed it is not flush with the car body, especially at the bottom where the gap is about 2cm.
The door sensor was showing the driver door open because it wasn’t pressing the sensor. I did a quick fix to sort that but really need some ideas to see if the door can be adjusted.
I tightened the bolts on the hinges but no change.
Any help appreciated.

I haven't had this problem but usually the holes for the hinges would be slotted to permit adjustment.

Note the latch plate too should be adjustable - which you haven't mentioned.

However 2cm seems a lot out - perhaps the door's been wrenched at some point?

If I lift the door up it all goes back into alignment but won’t stay there. Possibly has been wrenched at some point

You shoudn't be able to lift it, sounds like worn hinges.
