This weekend I also mounted dynamic turn signals on the tail as I find that it matches better together this way. Happy to find out what you all think about this mod. :)

Probably you’re all enjoying the hot weather rather than browsing the forum

Any way... in the meanwhile I already added a small change to this mod. I placed switches so the LEDs can easily been disabled when needed. Because in some countries like Germany these kind of mods are prohibited.

Hi all

I really want to fit a set of these to my Qq, as the standard indicators are just so invisible in daylight. I am a little concerned in case I break something fitting them. Has anyone fitted these to door mirrors with cameras, and if so did you have to disturb the camera when fitting, leading to the need for recalibration? Also on most of the sets the wiring blocks are not for UK models so soldering the wires is required. Has anyone found a set that are UK compatible and just plug in?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Doug

I’ve a Reina so cameras in the mirrors and fitted these with minimal hassle. Review earlier posts for my experience but yes I had to solder the wires but nothIng else as affected no need to disturb the cameras. The wiring unplugs within the housing cut off the plugs slide heat sleeve on and solder to the wires on the new units. As they’re led they only work one way ie if you mix up the wires they won’t illuminate I guessed as the colours did not match but as the existing had a green as did the new unit I connected green to green and whatever the other colour was to the remaining wire all works perfectly. The only hard bit was to get the mirror glass off in order to unscrew the existing lamp unit , took a fair bit of pressure but did it. Iirc near side took me 40 mins offside 10!

Hi

Still haven't taken the plunge with these yet, but the more times I watch fitting videos, the more I feel confident to do it.

My question to the experts is about joining the cables together. Rather than soldering, could I use the type of superseal waterproof connectors, or electrical bullet connectors? I was thinking of cutting the cable to the old indicator, so that I don't have to interfere with the cable in the mirror housing, then connecting the part I have cut off to the new indicator (after cutting off the incompatible connector), using either of the above connectors (superseal waterproof or bullet). I think this is probably how Lapalmeraie did his? If so do you know what mm the cable is so that I can get the right size connectors?

I hope this makes sense and that you guys are able to let me know. Thanks as always for the great feeds.

I have just found these dynamic indicators on Ali Express and it states the plug will fit the plug in the mirror housing? Anyone who has fitted these, does this look like the plug in the mirror housing?

Also one of the indicators in the description photos seems to have extra wiring, any views on this? Any help greatly appreciated.

I have a 2017 QQ and have changed mine. If it helps at all then this shows my original RHS indicator connector point. Which shows male connector pins on a white block within the recess, I did actually look at these myself because of their statement but because they were smoked and as my headlights are not smoked then I went with the clear option from the same seller you have linked to, and just cut wires and then joined/paired them back up again. So much better than the original indicators.

Well I ordered the dynamic turn indicators as per the link a few posts up. I was a bit dubious about whether the connectors would actually be compatible, but they are, so no soldering or cutting wires, just plug in and away we go. So impressed with the brightness of the new indicators, at least other drivers will now notice that I am actually indicating.
