I ordered a set of these “LED Blinkers” a couple of months back from Amazon and I had left them with our Nissan Dealer Service Mgr. for his appraisal. After reading the Post yesterday I phoned him and got the OK and these were installed today cost me £40 OK not cheap but done without problems and they work and they look good - Dave

Hi Alan.
Great job. I changed my door mirrors indicators earlier this year. Like you I ordered the smoked glass plug and play ones, so no cutting wires or soldering involved. Your comment made me laugh, as like you the first indicator change took me quite a while as I was so cautious and terrified of breaking something . Once I had got that one done, the other indicator change took about 5 minutes! I have also changed my front and rear indicator bulbs to LED, which make a huge difference, especially to the front indicators, as the old ones never looked very visible against the DRL's.
Cheers
Doug

Only me who had a nightmare then?!
Firstly, the J11B seems a lot harder to get the mirror cover off, as the camera housing also has to come off - only way seems to be to pry it, and then easy it away.
But worse, I fitted my new dynamic indicator, and this was the best I could get!
It looks like a manufacturing tollerance issue, as I was then able to re-fit the original without any issue, although they did look the same, except the new one had a more 'pointy' end. (New is below)

Oh dear that's not good. If the water gets in there, it could do some damage. I haven't got a J11B. Hopefully someone on here has fitted them to a J11B with a better end result and can give you some advice?
Good Luck!

Phatboy, here is a pic of our Original Nissan J11B Blinker showing the area you are concerned with. I chickened out and got Nissan to install ours without problems. Being from a Plastics Background the are so many suppliers (mostly PRC) of these Indicators all working to different tolerances, different materials and therefore highly possible difficult fits, for example Snap Fits which will either assembly or just stay proud with a gap. Sorry but that is all the advice I can offer you - Dave

Hi Phatboy. I did have to "jiggle" mine a bit to get them to seat like the originals. Like Daveberlin says, plastic can be a tricky one to reverse engineer for the aftermarket manufacturers. Hopefully a bit of filing on the new indicators may allow a better fit. Mine wasn't sitting right where the screws go in and maybe that's why yours appear to be sitting too proud and the cover not going over fully. Good luck if you re-try. I hope it gets fitted to your satisfaction.

Just got back from our Nissan Dealer out here, first question was, is the Blinker still working, then the Sales Guy took a look and gave the Nod ! - Dave
As Alan has mentioned you might have to do a bit of handwork to get a nice fit, there is a word used in Plastics called “Flash” this is the excess plastic (normally a sharp edge) caused by a worn mold which is normally machined or hand worked. Precision Molding Companies QC normally do not accept this condition - might be worth a look !

Thanks for sharing my video
True the first time takes ages and is quite freighting..; once you got the hold if it, it goes way faster!
I did a special video on the J11b version which is slightly different and a request video on how it fits as well. The gaps are probably just caused by some clips not completely well put back I guess. Work from the door to the end en especially look well for the extreme ends that should be placed under the black rim but tends to place itself over.
Cheers
