Driver door catching

Hi, my 2014 driver door appears to catch on the hook plate fixed on the B post, is this common, is it likely to just need adjusting or is it anything to do with the hinges, the spacing down the close lines appear normal, any ideas please?

Welcome to this forum.

Certainly not a known fault/common problem.

I haven't tried adjusting the hook plate but if the shutlines aren't deranged you might check if there's some tolerance in the positioning.

Alan, welcome to the QQ Forum. If the Door is catching I would assume the Door drops on opening (Adjustment or Worn Hinges ?). I have attached a couple of old posts on this subject, which you might glean something from if your lucky - Dave 😉

What price for a pair of new o.s.f. hinges for the 2014 model.

If you are after Brand New Parts I would suggest you contact a Nissan Dealer for a Cost, then you have an idea of what to plan for. There are loads of Dealers (Breakers) / eBay Parts being offered which is obviously the cheapest approach, but they could also have extensive wear Problems. Attached below is just an example - Dave 😉

Hello.
I recently had the same issue on drivers door which got worse over time.
The door would bang on to the pillar catcher and crawl over it and rise up a few mm.
When opening the door the opposite would happen and door would drop a few mm.
Could not be bothered with useless dealer mechanics and all the disappointing work they do even though it is still under warranty.
I just jacked up the door with a car jack protecting the bottom of the door with wood and cloth and adjusted the 4 screws on the door after opening it wide.
Hope this helps
