Hi
Recently purchased a 2013 Tekna and i want to put on my private plates.
Do i need a special two prong key to open the number plate surrounds ?

BC66, firstly welcome to the Forum. Take a look at this attachment and see if this helps. I live in Germany and I am sure ours are different, but normally they are just Snap Fits or with Locking Sliding Tabs - Dave

Your surround is a dealer fit item (if not a previous owner modification) and thus not a Nissan product. My numberplate was simply stuck on without a surround. A photo would help of course.
