Hi all

I've noticed that my passenger rear rail is loose.

I've searched the forum and found videos of guys fitting rails but the connections look nothing like mine.

The manual is not clear at all, can anyone help me tighten this thing down?

Do I need to go under the headliner, or should I just take this to the dealer and let them sort it?

Thanks

You need to get under the headlining - but be aware that it is fragile

If you'd found the previous posting why start a new topic and not mention that fact?

Have you looked above the headlining?

What trim version is your car? - so we can check they were standard or optional when new.

Are these possibly aftermarket ones? Beware if that's the case since some are merely decorative and not loadbearing!

Example of the latter - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114592366780

These both appear to be original Nissan sets - and the mountings are different to yours:

Apologies, I thought I had made it clear that I had searched the forum and found nothing that matched mine, hence the new thread.

I believe mine is a Tekna, it looks like this :

Same alloys, folding mirrors, leather seats, black interior, 360 camera, panoramic roof, etc.

The rails in the photo's attached by gloucester above look like mine, I would say they are identical.

I haven't dropped the headliner, I've never done that, is it difficult? Buffy's reply made me a little nervous that I could break it.

That's not a Tekna - it doesn't have the correct wheels (unless they've been changed) and is missing the Park Assist sensors (just in front of the front wheelarches).

It appears to be an N-Connecta with the optional "Comfort Pack - Panoramic glass roof with one touch shade and satin silver roof rails" and "Executive Pack: Graphite leather trim, electrically adjustable driver’s seat with manual lumbar support, heated front seats and Thermaclear heated windscreen."

So they appear to be factory-fit rails and I realise now I wasn't exactly comparing like with like yours being a top view and mine being the part that actually slots into the roof apertures. Nevertheless the solution is most likely to drop the headlining and tighten the nuts.
