Hi all,

I've got a problem with my 2019 QQ in that my rear drivers door is locked PERMANENTLY - doesn't open from either the inside or outside handle...

When I got the car originally in April from my local Motorpoint branch, I took it back a few days after as the same door was intermittently staying locked - and they had it in for a day to look at, before they "fixed" it.

Door has been fine since then, but has now started playing up again...

Is this going to be a trip into my Nissan dealer???

I would think thats a Nissan job...being locked. And somewhat unreliably fixed earlier.

I suspect the cabin door card is near impossible to get off without major damage...but somebody may know a trick?

I'm going to hazard a guess that it will need a trip to your Nissan Dealership if the door cannot be opened, maybe they have a magic way to dismantle the door as it is.
We had a similar situation albeit the other side but luckily it could be opened from the inside, had the faulty door lock actuator replaced under warranty.

Stampy, as part of your Purchase Price you got a 3 year Guarantee and it should be used let them correct for you FOC. If it is a Manufacturing Fault it’s down to the Dealer & Nissan. You never know when it’s a DIY Job (even if you enjoy repairing) what will be damaged and then in the end will it work. Hopefully you will get it fixed - Dave

Surely it's a warranty job - what makes you think it isn't?

Firstly, apologies for the delay in getting back on here..

Totally forgot about it, as the door suddenly started working again - however you now can't open it from the OUTSIDE or the INSIDE.

It's going into my local Nissan Dealer on Thursday!!

Just an update...

It's a faulty door lock - so it's being replaced under warranty..

Just awaiting a phone call when the part arrives to book it back into have it done!!!

Goes back into my local Nissan Dealer on Tuesday!

I'll get them to look at the Sat Nav as well, for the "USB error" I keep getting when I try to do map updates!
