Front Grill Camera

Hi QQ owners Just wondered if anyone is aware of a spate of thefts on the 2013 360 QQ front grills and camera's. Myself and 3 friends have had their grills carefully removed with the camera and the wire clean cut in the last 2 weeks. Bloody livid.

oh wow! Didn't even consider anybody would do that type of thing, but given that some cars are being broken into just for their air bags suppose makes sense that any other easy to remove but high value items could also be stolen!

I will be popping into dealership to see what they aim to do to counteract it ie: sensor or chain behind grill or something otherwise they will keep stealing them

I bet they wont be cheap to replace on either the new or older qashqai .

My sister had one of their front sensors stolen off their BMW X6 a couple of weeks ago, you could see the paint scratched where they levered it out & a couple of nicely snipped wires

I asked our Store Guy here today on the cost of a Front Camera and he gave me this : 284F1-4EA0A @ a‚¬496 + VAT but not fitted. Could also be plus the other parts Damaged Grill / Nissan Emblem etc - Dave

Ridiculously expensive! I guess if Nissan would sell parts in real value + few % margin, no one would steal them. duncho2015-01-19 14:35:47

[/QUOTE]You're so right and yet I suspect that the dealers would claim not to make very much on a new car sale hence the ridiculous mark-up on spares and the like. The sooner the likes of Amazon and TESCO (or even Lidl) get in on the act the better!
