As mentioned in Aug 16 I noticed the "Marks" coming back and yesterday I somehow noticed them again. On two you can see the marks which are indeed pretty mild and the other two are not that bad. I have only 6 months left on our Guarantee so I Need to mention this again to our Dealer. When you compare these marks to the last photos shown it makes me wonder if it is worth complaining as they are so small - Dave

I'll keep close eye on mine too then; wonder if dealers will let you keep old so that outside of guarantee, you could have spares that a body shop could paint properly?
In direct sunlight I can now see the crazing just starting on my 3rd set of caps, so have asked dealer
to submit another claim; I asked if I could have old ones back, but he advises Nissan need
them back for them to process warranty work
Difficult to photo; need direct sunlight to see defects- once one starts, other 3 will follow soon after:

Because I've now had 3 sets fail, like others I put in a moan to MD's Case Manager Office.
They said it was first they'd heard of this (bla bla), but if car serviced at Nissan, they'd replace under goodwill for up to 5 years.
I stated it was subject of a very long thread here and how disappointing it is, with all Nissan's resources, that they've not identified problem's root cause and redesigned / respecified so this reoccurring fault doesn't happen.
Unsure if Nissan's produce this plastic component themselves or its subcontracted, in which case it'll be costing supplier a pretty penny.

- Qashqai Model: Still looking for one....
Mine were replaced last July and I noticed today that the new ones are going the same way... must be all the UV from our amazingly sunny climate.
Used to have 2015 1.6dCi 130 Xtronic N-tec+ in Gun Metallic
Mine were replaced in Sept 2015 and I noticed that they are starting to go again.
I also had my aircon regassed at the same time and that has now packed in again.
Looks like the QQ is only good for 18 months before bits start failing

I noticed this weekend that mine have gone again.... I think this will be the 4th time...
Not outside of warranty (although regardless, they should still cover it).
In 2 minds as to what to do as its a right faf getting them swapped

Hi
I just noticed these in my 10mth old QQ (collected yesterday) just sent an email with photos to dealer.
Looks like its a material fault which cracks when exposed to the elements.

I'm on 4th set; asked dealer if I could have old ones back on assumption they'll fail in a year.
I intended to get a paint shop to paint.
But dealer, he say NO; Nissan always want back.
