Hello,I ordered these off eBay on 31/03 for £13.41 and they finally arrived today, so that's not too bad. What I want to ask is, if I don't like them can they be easily removed without damaging my paint? How well does this 3M stick, is it a case of once it's on then it's never coming off?

Hi vyper1, this thread is for the same wing mirror trim: http://www.qashqaiownersclub.co.uk/foru ... c2336.html I don't think it will be too difficult to remove although I haven't tried.Cheers

vyper1, I think it has been mentioned often on the Forum that when "Sticking" Stuff to Body Parts the most important part is the preparation, cleaning, positioning and sticking. From the experience I have had you normally have one chance when it is stuck it is stuck. Now regarding removal you can normally prise the parts off with flat Tools or blunt screwdrivers but this has to be done carefully as with plastic parts and their delicate forms they can and do break - Costly !. You then have the Problem of removing the remaining 3M Adhesive Tape, what I use with gloves is a Scalpel (these are very sharp and dangerous) they need to be treated with respect but you can control the cutting. Then you have to remove the Rest of the Adhesive and what I used for many years is good old Lighter Fuel, soak it and then rub it step by step. Funnily enough I bought yesterday from "Lidl" here a Spray product from "Powerfix" for removing sticky labels, Bar Codes, Tar, Grease ..... for a‚¬2,99 as I thought this might do the same Job and this sort of stuff is always nice to have.
Do not let these comments put you off or you will never attempt anything, just think about it and give it a Go ! - Dave

Hi Guys,FoxE, Yes they are very similar to the ones I ordered but I guess they all go on the same way . Dave, yes preparation is key to most things and I'll be making sure the mirrors are clean, test fitted and then stuck on. I just wanted to know how well this stuff sticks in the off chance I remove. Many moons ago I removed the badges on a Ford Escort by using just hot water, so I don't know if it's the same type of glue or if things have progressed significantly. Bit of a strange name 'Powerfix' for removing not fixing I will bob in to Lidl over here and see if I can see it.I will get them stuck on this weekend, I do think they will look good and I'll have no need to remove them.Cheers.

Just so you know what it looks like this is it in German format :

It is highly likely that there is a different marketing policy in the UK and it is not avialable at the same time. I am sure there are other similiar products on the market in the DIY shops - Dave

Cheers guys there seems to be quite a few products out for this type of stuff. I found this at my local Hobbycraft and it says it does the same thing so I might give this a try but I'm still hoping I'll never need it

Oh well I got impatient and went out cleaned my mirrors and fitted the trims. IMO they look The fitment could be slightly better in places and I hope they hold up to a jet wash when I'm cleaning her but overall they're not bad for £13.41

Best way to remove a stuck on item is very hot water and dental floss. Pour the hot water over the item to be removed then place the dental floss behind the item and pull from side to side ad it will remove the item!
