Just had my first issue. The passenger door mirror no longer opens or closes using either the internal button or via the ignition on/off or lock/unlock options. The driver side mirror works fine.Have the car booked in on Tuesday next. I wonder if this will be covered under the warranty.

Maybe I'm being naive but it's a fault, the car is in warranty period I would expect a warranty repair, never had an issue with any other make.

I agree with you if the dealer accepts it is due to a fault. They could equally argue that it was bumped into by a pedestrian (even though there is no sign of damage) and hence knocked out of position. Maybe I am being too pessimistic. I am dealing with an excellent dealership after-all.

IANAL but I think they would have difficulty in proving that "beyond reasonable doubt" in any court, Even if they could, you would be able to argue that a pedestrian knocking into it, shouldn't break it, and therefore it is not fit for purpose.Personally, I don't think you will have any problem....

Took the car in today. Dealer needs to order a new mirror as opening/closing mechanism needs replacing. Will find out next week whether it will be repaired under warranty or if I am facing a a‚¬300 bill.

As others say, should definitely be covered. If they expected you to stump up your own Euro's, am sure they'd have raised before they ordered components
