Thank you so much for this details Hound. I’m really grateful. I’m a right that you did not placed an extra fuse on the « - » wire which sounds logical as the power goes through the « + ».

Can’t wait to tackle this one.
Still hesitating though were to place the socket itself. The flat parts on the hard plastic ventilation covers in the boot are already taken by LED strips. Maybay I’ll use the soft bootliner if there is enough space behind but I don’t want to stress the cutouts everytime while deplugging the 12v...

I fitted the 12v socket on the same RH panel where you placed your LED strip, but lower down. Unless you
added more strips after the one shown in this photo, there should be room for you to put a socket as well.

Is that I photo of my boot? :)
It is indeed actually like that and then that place would be perfect.
Thanks

If I'd known where to pick up trailer wiring I would probably have done that - tapping into the rear of the console 12V socket was a "quick and dirty" solution as I didn't intend to run any high-draw items from the new boot socket.

I removed the rear seat squab in order to easily route the wiring from inside the boot panel and under the carpet.

There are two 12v sockets and both eventually shut down after about 5 mins as I have two dash cams running off them and they wouldn't switch off if they were live all the time. A one in the boot would have been useful.

My outlet in the front is continue and could also be tapped instead of the actual one. Same procedure but just have to draw the cable a bit further ;)

Anyone know if and where this live 12v for the trailer is to be found in a J10 version? I suppose it must be somewhere behind the sidepanel left or right in the rear, a quick look there didn´t help. What to look for exactly? Colour, 1,5mm or more wire? I need a live wire for my caravan and would like to avoid installing a long wire from up front. Besides Nissan must have thought about this for people who want to install a 13 pin socket, or did they?
Thanks.

Have a look at this J10 Power Supply document.....Page PG-41 Wiring Diagram - ACCESSORY POWER SUPPLY

It may not be 100% correct but seems to match some of the comments on this thread about Fuses
