Some kind soul has reversed into my car and left a dent in the bumper down where the reflectors are. I could live with this except the rear parking sensor is now pointing slightly down and subsequently goes off all the time. As the dent isn't huge I'm wondering if the heat gun/hot water trick might work but would need to get behind the dent to push it back. I've tried everything to wriggle something into any gaps but I don't think there's any alternative to removing the bumper.
Has anyone removed the bumper (or knows if there's a way to get to the back of it!) and can give any tips to the procedure?

I can vouch for this on my 1997 rav some kind sole bashed it in supermarket(proper bash) so after months being annoyed and 400estimate repair I got heat gun on it. Took ages as I didn't want to warp or melt the plastic but it popped on its own.. You tube had a clip if I remember correctly...

So it popped out without having to get behind it?
