@duncho
So they're saying the claim has been rejected.
Have you any idea where I can find the part number for just the plastic screen, as they say the whole display would need replacing? Thanks

This has been raised a few times by new owners and indicates a quality control failure both at the
manufacturer & Nissan inbound QC.
One would imagine, that like many products with plastic lens,
they should have a protective film, which is peeled off at last moment.
Could it be also happening at dealers where they use a dirty duster, which in this location is damaging.

Hi Gel.

This is what i'm trying to say to the dealer. Poor quality material that is "not for for purpose"
I have only had the car since December and the only place it's been "washed" is when with them.
I haven't gone near the dashboard with any sort of cloth etc..
I only noticed how bad it was when the sun was directly on it, now because I know it's there, I see it ALL of the time..
They say i can contact Nissan customer care myself...

Apparently the guys that wash the cars "only do the outsides, and hoover the foot wells.. "

Mine was scratched by the dealer when the car arrived from the factory. I denied the car and they promised to order a replacement. It is very dodgy quality, the plastics seems ok, but the coating is very soft. You will damage it by even slight finger touch.

Spectacular, continues as the first day. One question, at the beginning of the post did you say that the most difficult thing was to remove dirt from inside the plastic? why?

Because in my case I had some dust inside the meter (behind the plastic). No idea how it got there, maybe during assembly in the factory or during ownership of my car.
