Thank you Hound ;)
Honestly, I have no information that there is any TB issued, so hard to say. The pictures are from service manual, I was curious which welding points could cause that annoying noise and therefore looked at it.

I recorded a tiny bit of this rattle sound and it's clearly coming under the drivers seat. I was wondering if it might be the heat shield? However it can be only heard while driving. This is driving me nuts and I would really appreciate any help.

Edit. Turns out it was the heatshield! I was so sure the noise was coming from inside 😁. Happy days!

I've just got it back from the dealer after they had it for nearly a week and it seems to be fixed.....................for now. The service manager came out to see me and explained the nightmare they had finding the creak.

After removing the headlining they used a noise detecting probe of some sort but the noise transmitted all over the place so was difficult to pin-point. Previously they had opened up the gaps between the welded joints in the "D" pillar which was a temporary fix. This time after contacting Nissan, they opened up all the joints/gaps and injected windscreen bonding glue into the voids. Once dry this should set and prevent the metal to metal contact and creaking noise.

They did extensive test drives at different temperatures and are happy that it is fixed, time will tell but I can't fault Hammond Nissan for their efforts even though it did take several visits.

Thank you for your feedback Switchback. I'm curious what I will have to deal with. I assume my dealer will spent countless hours on it and then show me a thick invoice. If this is not fully paid by Nissan, I deny to contribute either a penny on their creepy car build quality.

What a pity they didn't make a photo of what they have done...
