Hello first post here. I need some advice. I had my windscreen replaced yesterday by autoglass because of a crack. I was told by them that it would be the same glass without the Nissan stamp on. When I picked my car up it was replaced with a make called shatterpruf, I had saint gobain glass before. I'm really unhappy with it, the screen is picking up so much reflection off the dash which i didn't have before and it looks distorted when I'm driving. I feel like I'm looking through glasses that are too strong. I had a massive headache when i got home and now can't use my car. I have of course complained to autoglass and now awaiting their reply as to whether they'll replace it. My question is do qashqai's have some sort of coloured tint to prevent glare and dash reflection? My car is only 2 years old and I'm really upset by this. Thanks

You have not mentioned the information on your QQ which type, Year for example. Our 14 Tekna Screen is Tinted & Heated for example. Why did you pick Autoglass instead of a straight Nissan OEM Replacement, was it cost or convenience ?

Six months ago my 17mth old Tekna 1.6 Dig-t petrol Qashqai had a cracked windscreen. I had the repair done through Autoglass as part of my insurance. All I had to do was pay the excess and there was no form filling. Autoglass fitted an identical windscreen apart from the Nissan stamp. They also did the calibration of the sensors at a special Autoglass unit. I believe at Nissan garages they have to bring in a specialist in order to do this. The professional approach by Autoglass and their expertise make them a first for new windscreens. I have no reflection and the work carried out was first class along with the product. I live near Southampton , Hampshire. The heated windscreen is slightly tinted like the original.
