Boot speaker hanging?

Just bought tekna 2012 qashqai and seen what looks like a speaker hanging in the boot.
What is this contraption and where does it belong?

Definitely not standard fitting,my guess would be someone's fitted it as a extended reverse alarm or indicator alarm if it's got/had tow bar fitted

Looks like a reversing sensor "beep" speaker to me too.
Used to have 2015 1.6dCi 130 Xtronic N-tec+ in Gun Metallic
