Hi all, I have a problem with my heater blower, it's stuck on full power and won't turn down or off. I have the climate control on full auto
and it's just stuck on full. it's only shows 2 bar but you can hear it blow on full power, it won't turn itself down. when i press the button
to turn it down manually nothing happens, when i switch the blower off it won't switch off. do anyone know if it is the heater blower resistor if so do anyone where it is located ? my nissan is a 2014 qashqai ( J11 ) 1.2 dig-t.

OK. Sorted out myself. Got a second hand heater blower resistor from ebay. All good now.

Always a good feeling when you diagnose a fault & fix it yourself. Well done.

That was quick - might be worth you summarising the situation for others searching for this issue?

It's a easy fix. You have to remove the glove box to get to it, it's just next to the pollen filter.

Hi, I'm having a problem with my heater blower and need to replace the heater blower resistor, can you tell me exactly where it is located and what you did (did you take any pictures?) and did you disconnect your battery before replacing the resistor?
Many thanks :D

Regards

Dave

Should be easy enough to spot - check out what it looks like on eBay, remove the glovebox and pop your head in!

I replaced the one on my Fabia without disconnecting the battery - should be fine so long as ignition is completely off.

Hi all,

I have a 2015 Qashqai. Yesterday my car started doing its own thing wrt the air con. I’ve realised it’s the same problem as above, however I have zero experience changing car parts, but would rather not pay a Nissan mechanic £££ to get this fixed!

Please could someone explain exactly which part I need to buy, and how to (safely) replace it?

Really, really appreciate any help on this.

My husband doesn’t drive and therefore has absolutely no experience with car mechanics etc, so i’m on my own here!

It was reported that the same thing is happening if you connect faulty item in your cigarette lighter socket. Make sure it’s not that.

I’m surprised that there is no video about that, but I’m sure that many people in this forum can guide you through replacing that part.
