Water\rain "marks" on seats

Hi Gang

I have a fairly new (17 plate) J11 and I have noticed the seating upholstery seems to be getting small stains developing on the outer (near the doors) edges of the seats. As only my wife and I use it, I know its not various spilt beverages (non-alcoholic) of course. Assuming its when rainwater comes in when the doors are open - is there a good way to clean and maybe some spray on protector that has been tried and tested?

Regards

Spaniard

Good quality all purpose interior cleaner and agitate with a soft bristled detailing brush.

As far as fabric protectors the best rated ones are Gyeons Q2 fabric coat and GTechniq L1 smart fabric.

That’s the problem with vehicles with no “Gutters” like the old days. You open the door and the rain drops in I assume you have fabric seats, ours are “Leather ?” and I must admit I have or do not see a problem. There is a load of articles on the web such as this attachment FYI - Dave 😉

You could splash out on some of these Wind Deflectors which might help - Dave 😄

It happens mainly when you are getting into the car after it has been stood in the rain so you can help prevent it by using a small rubber blade and push the water off before opening the door.
Or a micro fibre cloth
You do get it happen after driving but very little as the water has been pushed off by wind.
