Hi all,

Had my Qashqai for a month now and loving it. Over the last few days however I’ve started to hear a squeaking noise that’s coming from down the bottom of the drivers door somewhere, unsure if it’s coming from a rubber seal on the door or down by the seatbelt tensioner. It only really happens at slow speeds when going over rough ground. My son said it sounds like crickets which is what makes me think it’s rubber/plastic rubbing against something. I’ve leant against the door panel when driving slowly to see if it was loose but the noise is still there. Any suggestions of what it could be or if anyone has come across this problem before?

It’s the drivers seat. It appears to be the springs inside. Some days you notice it, others you don’t. I’ve just learned to live with it.

**Update**
After checking everything it turns out it was the exterior drivers door handle! Pulled the handle open, sprayed in some WD40 and it seems to have gone. Least I’ve managed to locate it. Thought it was coming from lower down but not the case.

It’ll very soon be back as it will be your drivers seat!

Did the wd40 fix the issue for you, its definately the drivers door handle my 2018 tekna has started to do this aswell.

Bear in mind that WD40 is not a lubricant

I'm assuming the door handle assembly would need to be taken out and greased properly with either a silicone lubricant spray or lithium grease.

Before doing that - try a small smear of Vaseline on the striker

Well an update on this, turns out that no parts are defective or creaking, the drivers door had sagged by half an inch causing the latch to vibrate the connecting rod to the door handle which was causing the cricket sound, door has been reallignedand no longer creaks, so wd40 and lubricant definately wouldnt fix this long term.
