The ones in the Qashqai brochure look fine! :lol: :lol: :lol:

So, went to another Nissan dealer. They said that the bonnet stay (the metal bar you erect to keep the bonnet open) was a replacement part, the headlights were replacement parts! They suspect the car was in a collision and repaired!! So, it looks like a 2017 Qashqai (ex Hertz) was sold to me by a main Nissan dealer and the damage was never revealed!

Do I have any come back?

Hi...I am about to attack a Nissan main dealer over inadequate attention/action to a complaint I registered with them about pre sale upholstery damage. Time wasters largely.

To be fair, how would any garage selling you the car be aware of any prior damage that had been rectified.

They ask, "has this car been in an accident?". If the seller lie's, then they are culpable. It's one of the first questions you ever ask anyone when purchasing a car from any source, usually follows, are you the legal owner or are you authorised to sell this car?

I also learned that the V5 is not proof of ownership. The sales receipt is proof.
