Bonnet not sitting flush to the grill

Take a look at this guys ... one of these is my car - can you guess which one?

The bonnet does not lie flush with the grill. I've tried opening and closing it, still not aligned. Should I be worried that the car has a hidden history? Is this a normal manufacturing issue?

You have a new J11B which I would think is with a Guarantee, if I was you I would get down to your Dealer and get it corrected. When we got our QQ in 14 we also had a Bonnet Problem but left to right misalighnment, I complained and it was corrected. Your problem seems to be that the Bonnet sits high, there are a couple of rubber buffers on our model which are adjustable attached to the underside of the Bonnet which could be the problem that it sits high. As mentioned by Noddy what does the sideways alignment look like, if you are worried about body damage then take a close look. But in the end I would get the Dealer to correct it - Dave 😉

Guys, here's what the side alignment looks like.... I'll book it in for a dealer check too.

Those rubber bits dave mentions above adjust the height. Just turn anticlockwise i think

Try winding the bungs in 1st. The reason I asked about the side view is, if you google j11b qashqais some look as bad as yours, some worse & some better. I'm not sure if it's a fault as such, or just poor finish. Could save yourself some hassle by having a good, nothing there to break.

Yep, I tried winding the bungs, no change. I don't think they are connected to anything to be honest (see attached).

Gosh, it's worrying to think that it's a manufacturing quality issue. Surely a bonnet is something Nissan has got used to fitting properly :)

None of these look much better than yours. I'm not sure it being black doesn't make it look worse.

QQuestions, I reckon that Noddy has “Hit the Nail on the Head” if you look at nearly every photo there does appear to be a “Mismatch” of the Bonnet to the Main Headlight. If you look closely the “Mismatch” is from the Side Edge of the Headlight to the Front and the Gap gets Bigger. This appears to me to be a basic error in the positioning of the Headlight on the New QQ or we have a steel Bonnet Form that the Plastic Molding form does not match - Dave 🤨

This is our QQ in 2014 when new and the Gap / Mismatch is not so pronounced 😊 :
