Yeah ageeed re brightness not surprising when you realise the originals have iirc 1 led at each end of the light bar whereas the replacem3nts have a lot more

+1 (and they look great on black on your red QQ !!) ;)

It's much much brighter. In the evening crossroads even light up in orange when I'm around
Where the originals only have this flaw light. I understand now why, only 1 diode..

Personally I like it way better like this.
Looking forward to your reactions.

Thanks for the information and your YouTube video. You asked for reactions and I must admit it is not for me but again a personal decision, now the Wing Mirror Mod was interesting. My question would be is this a “Street Legal” Mod, as this sort of Lighting Mod in the USA is very normal, but not so in our part of the world. Have you got this cleared by your Transport people like the UK MOT or German TÜV Boys so there is no hassle at the Inspection time - Thanks Dave 🤨

For the dynamic mirror signals I forsee no problems as it is really build in as it were OEM. You should really know the car to know there aren’t OEM.

For the back it’s a different story. That is I did quite some research on the legality and by law they are 👍🏻 as they are situated close enough to the original ones to be consideres as « one » and difuse the right color.
There could be no confusion of their meaning so to speak.

Still they are not legal as the do not have the CE label. You must thus be controlled by and law officer a MOT technician which looks specifically for the label.
An police officer is quite unlikely to know this. I have discussed it with a police officer myself. Worst case they send you to a MOT control to let check.
For the MOT control itself I would leave them on as they are more likely to be « aware ».
For this reason I forsaw hidden switches in the back to shut them off when needed if you understand what I’m saying ;)

this said, I ordered new lights for the mirrors. my
firsts were one of the very first made and proved to have some start up troubles. Some diodes do not work any longer.
soon I will install the new ones and give it a new try.

If I see that they do not hold up neither I put back the OEM lights in the mirrors and will place flexible strips on the headlights as did GolfFox which should give the same effect as in the tail.

Had to modify the setup in the mirrors as well.
Enjoy!

As the motor is mounted slightly different into the mirror housing I made a new video for the J11b model. I did had to look a bit for myself, as you do not want to damage or break anything so I supposed that a new tutorial would be helpful.
