We have fitted an an after market dog restraint to the centre seat belt holder in the centre seat which stops our dog from flying if I brake too heavy....

I have given the car a mini valet and can not get the B**&^y metal clip out of the holder

I do not want to force it - even though it looks slightly bent.....

Any great ideas appreciated

This happened to me (see previous post and a helpful reply). I tried to get it out. Last week it failed its MOT based on one seat belt not working, and the garage could not get it out either. It cost me £100.00 to have a new buckle put in so it could pass the MOT (I tried myself again and it looked as if it had been put in the wrong way or it was just a stupid thing). Expensive mistake !

A few sprays of 3in1 oil into the buckle. Then get the thinnest knife you can find, slip it into the buckle and feel around while pressing the release button. You should be able feel the clip with the knife.
