Hi all,

Going on a camping trip next month & struggling to find the maximum payload for my car.

Have a 2014 1.5dci Tekna & finding conflicting information all over the place.

All I’m looking for is the weight of car including fluids/fuel & then the maximum permitted total weight.

Any ideas?

Cheers

545kg is the maximum loading weight as far as I can see.

As Noddy has mentioned it is around that figure. Here is a copy of an old Brochure from the QQ J11A - Dave 😉

That’s what I thought, but my V5c says mass in service 1513 & max permissible mass of 1910.

That’s only 397 (472 if you take into account mass in service includes 75kg for driver).

So where have they come up with 545?

Don’t want to be pulled up for overloading!! :(

Cheers

Doesn't it normally say on the door jamb?

Gloucester, you got me thinking about your comment so I took a look on our Tekna 1,2L. On the Passenger Side (LH Drive) I found this which appears to be the Weights - Dave 🤫

Info’ on Label : Gross Vehicle Weight / Gross Vehicle Weight + Gross Trailer Weight / Max Axle Weight Front / Max Axle Weight Rear.

I think you would have a hard job to overload your car, it is a 5 seater so your 472kg is 5 15 stone people of which 3 will be in the back seats, thats a lot of weight, nearly 6cwt. I'm too old to talk in metric, :D can't imagine metric measurements :D :D 6 bags of cement

I’ve weighed everything to be 434kg, so under weight for now!! Got a really heavy Outwell tent with extension, plus tables & chairs etc.

Surprised how much all the stuff weighs & that I’m pretty close to the limit.

The 545kg would be much better, but don’t think that’s accurate.

The 545kg I have seen on the internet https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/nis ... 5dr/spec-1 Could always consider a small braked trailer :D
