Hi all , I notice a few tiny white specks on my almost now QQ - gun metal grey. Two on bonnet, one on door ( the one on door was there on delivery . I suppose I could be unlucky and it’s small stone chips but i drive a low mileage and stay back from the car in front when possible.
Any other explanation (Nissan paint process ) ?
I’m paranoid that by the time the lease is up , at this rate I’ll have many more and the lease company may not consider it fair wear and tear.

Kezzaa, if you enter “Paint Quality” into the “Search” Area you will see all of the old Posts on Paint which you can read. IMHO you should have reported the Paint damage on your new QQ and let the Dealer correct it. For small paint damages you can use the Mobile Sprayers which are cheaper, quicker and normally the quality is good. Our QQ is white (5 years old) and there are a few stone chips but nothing big or rusty. The problem normally with lease companies are that they can screw you when you hand the vehicle back - Dave

Thanks Dave - will read posts.
I did report the initial damage - very minor but phoned lease company same day, sent photos by e-mail and filed their acknowledgement so not worried about that one. More concerned that my previous pearlescent white QQ was immaculate after three years. My replacement metallic grey has a few very minor but annoying blemishes .
I’m curious that they may not be chips, solvent pops for example ?

Kezzaa, if you are really worried about the Paint work why not ask you Dealer for his honest opinion. They should be able to comment as the Service Book has to be stamped at each Service for Body Damage, Paint etc - give it a try.
If you are really worried you can always pay out and get the Folie Protection from Nissan or from a Specialist Shop done on the front. All in all small paint damages will appear however careful you are unfortunately - Dave

Thanks Dave - I guess I’m over reacting to tiny chips and road rash.
