Qashqai connecta 2016 hand brake button

Hi all

Im new here so sorry if this is the incorrect place to post this .

I have a 2016 Qashqai connecta petrol , the park brake button works but the plastic cap on top has been lost some how and come off , i have a new unit ( Park brake switch) is it difficult to change the old for the new or should i just take off the black plastic cap off the new switch and stick it to the old? is it hassle to replace the switch ( Lever / button ) is what im asking .
If anyone could help it would be great .

Sorry I can't answer your question as I'm a complete mechanical scaredy-cat and so can't help - this is the sort of thing I would always "get a man in" for.

I'm sure someone who's more "hands-on" will be along

Hi, welcome to the Forum. It looks like some how you have to remove the Plastic Trim that the Switch sits in because it looks like it is screwed in but with just a electrical plug / connector fitting. Here a few pics so you get an idea of what the task is. Sorry cannot help further never had to attempt this act - Dave
