I am scheduled to get my car in a week or so. I was in the dealer SunTec Mobile Window Tinting Arizona- http://www.suntecautoglass.com/windshield_replacement_tucson_az.html today discussing window tinting. Do any of you guys have your windows tinted? I would also be interested in hearing your views on getting tinted windows.

Kiara, firstly welcome. Most of the newer QQ J11A / J11B QQ for example have “Privacy Glass” as part of the package depending on the model for the Side & Rear Windows. We have the Tekna and think the Tinted Windows are worthwhile - Dave 😉

You have not stated which QQ Model you have ?
Tinting can be done and the color is usually a Personal preference, but there are Laws that have to be adhered to :
Tinted vehicle windows: the law - GOV.UK : https://www.gov.uk/tinted-vehicle-window-rules

Welcome to the house of fun.

These are the current regulations.

I imagine the a Nissan dealer will stick rigidly to these rules
March '22 - J12 1.3DIG-T 160 CVT Tekna+ with all wheel drive - Pearl Black
July '19 - J11B 1.3DIG-T 160 DCT Tekna - Vivid Blue
March '17 - Qashqai J11A 1.5dci n-connecta - gunmetal
September '14 - Juke 1.5dci gunmetal ascenta premium (red accent packs)

I used to think it a daft thing to have...till I got a QQ with standard tint. Certainly don't feel so exposed out on the road as with clear glass. Very nice really.

... and what country are you in?
May I ask what you're getting?

Rear side and back - OK. But as has been noted many Qashqais come with tinted rear windows - mine were very black - hence my decision to get a black car so they blended in.

Front side or windscreen - DON'T! Please... It's a safety hazard.

It was the case that the very top of the front windscreen was tinted or could be. The area covered by the pull down sun blinds. I found that useful as there is a lot of clear glass at the front of cars IMO. I don't have that tint now so mostly drive around with the blinds down.
