Hi all

Recently book the genuine Qashqai sports pedals and footrest.
Pedals are easy to fit, however the footrest instructions mentions I have to cut the carpet and drill through.
Feel a little uncomfortable doing so, just wondering if anyone else has fitted the footrest themselves and how did they go about it.

Photos/videos would be much appreciated if anyone has any or can help in anyway.

Thanks

Tion, we had the Sports Pedals added to our QQ in 2014 and never had a problem with the installation although done by Nissan. We have just got the new QQ Auto and had these again installed. You will probably find that the carpet has to be cut to allow a drill to get through otherwise the carpet strands would most probably block the drill bit. It is highly unlikely that you will remove them when you sell, which is most likely when you would see cut carpet - I hope this helps Dave 😉

Cheers for the info Dave, mine is RHD manual, when looking at it I’m just not sure which part of the carpet to cut.
Going by the instructions the cut is quite far up and you need to pull the carpet out the way to get the backing plate behind.

I have just fitted the pedals , easy enough to do , just put them in a jug of hot water for a minute and they slip on easily enough. Never had enough time /light to do the footrest, but planning on doing it after Christmas, so I will let you know.

Thanks hedgehog, gonna try the pedals this afternoon. Think I’ll leave footrest for when it’s warmer.

Tion and hedgehog, Did you guys get round to fitting the footrest? /how did it go, was it easy enough to do with the cutting and drilling?
