The Ebay listing above is for a 2018 model, do you know if these will fit mine.
It looks identical as others I have seen for the pre facelift model.

They have been known to fail - in fact I hardly ever closed mine since I felt it was a bit flimsy.
So the easiest and certainly cheapest repair is clearly to remove it.
Since it's only really going to be a problem overheating the car when it's parked, couldn't you fashion a sunshade to clip to the roof rails

Sorry - I didn't check thoroughly - I saw "NON FACELIFT" and didn't read further. I don't believe there are any differences but you never know!
