Den, another Coffee and My Brain just kicked in - not often ! When we first tried to install our Bonnet Struts on the QQ J11B we noticed that the Bonnet appeared heavier. One reason appeared to be from the Bonnet Form, now you have the J11B and it would appear that the J11A model being discussed here will not fit due to the new form. Better Safe than Sorry needs checking - Dave 😉
Take a look at these comparisons :

QQ J11A :

QQ J11B / “V” Grill is wider :

Water runs down the bonnet between bonnet and bra and collects. It also moves against the paint and scratches it. The water will encourage rust.

I understand the potential benefits of fitting a bra but not sure it is worth it.. my opinion only.
WW - the bra fits flush with the hood and the edges are sealed with 3M trim tape. I don't think I'll get any water in under there, but at the lowest edge of the bra, in the front, there is a small opening between sections of the tape. If any did manage to get in, I assume it will escape via that small opening (less than a 1/8 inch). Also, since it's sealed to the hood, there's no movement to scratch the paint
Ah they've changed a lot since I looked at them.

Sounds the perfect fix for the old problems.

Go for it :)
