Hi guys, first time poster in the forum...

I’ve got a 2018 1.5Dci N-Connecta and I’ve seen a complete leather interior online that I’d like to buy
And swap out. The thing is, it’s the spec that has leather heated electric seats, and I’m wondering whether the N-Connecta would have the wiring to be able to connect it up or would I have to rewire it?

As you can probably tell, I’m not much of a tecchy person...

Thoughts?

When you say you would like to install a complete Leather Interior are you referring to removing all Seats and replacing with Leather ones or replacing the Seat Covers. The reason I ask is that you say you are not technically minded but if this involves Seat Covers / Interior IMHO you are talking of a Major Job. Normally this sort of work needs to done by a Seat / Interior Specialist this is just not an easy job. The electrics are just part of the problem. Take a look at this video just to give you an idea of what is involved in one Seat - Best of Luck Dave 😏

Welcome to this forum.

I'm responding on the assumption that you're looking at installing a salvaged interior complete.

The answer to your question is "possibly" - I don't recall anyone swapping seats previously even though it's a logical thing to do. It happened a lot more on the Fabia forum.

To be honest I hardly ever used the heated seats in my Qashqai - I find a hot bottom rather uncomfortable. In winter you're usually dressed for the climate if going out in the car so it wasn't an issue for me.

More problematic would be the seat adjustment since the Tekna I had had electric adjustment for the driver's seat - obviously you'd need to couple that up since you wouldn't be able to adjust it manually.

You can see the switches here:

EDIT - better image here - they're memory seats too:

Possibly quiz the seller? May be able to get the electrics working without the memory facility?

Ive recently bought a 2016 n connecta and it has heated leather seats, including the electric adjustment, which suggests all the required wiring will be there. Mine doesnt have memory seats or the blind spot indicator, but i actually thought it was a techna when i first saw it with all its spec.

Further to that you will need to swap the centre console since the heated seat switches are located in there .

I managed to swap out the whole interior from cloth to leather. The seats, door cards, armrest and triple switch in the centre console for the heated seats. Really easy to do but my only issue was that I had no connection in my n-tec loom for the power to the heated seats. All the relevant connections in the centre console are there but not under the seats.

See this ongoing thread because it appears that the loom does not support unspecified production equipment.
