Hi , I noticed my sunroof sits marginally higher on one side than the other - no leak whatsoever. Got the car new just over a year ago but only noticed when washing it ( you’d never spot it from ‘street level’

Anyone noticed a similar problem ?

Sounds like a QC issue. All I see from washing is yet another minor-ish scratch....not me of course.

So - a closer look and it appears that it is the black roof trims (under the roof rails) that are not quite symmetrical. One trim seems to sit a little higher than the other. But here’s the thing, before I decided to raise this with dealer I checked another few QQ’s on their forecourt. They all have a similar ‘issue’ Anyone else noticed this ( you wouldn’t unless you deliberately check) - but if anyone is so inclined to do so you are looking for the height of the trim relative to the panoramic roof edge, and the gap between the trim and the pano roof. .....I’m curious now , is this by design (unlikely) ? or just slight variance in the trim fitting.

On inspection of passenger side 67 plate N-Connecta. Yep, its raised all the way along the inner edge of the black strip/trim. Driver side is flush-ish

Just checked ours : on the Passenger Side (your Driver Side) it is just slightly under flush but consistent. On the Drivers Side (your Passenger Side) it is under flush at the front and protrudes slightly at the Rear, but nothing drastic. As I believe this Sun Roof is installed by Robots I have no interest in getting this corrected as it could turn out worse, at present no problems, no leaks and not a major eyesore - Dave 😁

Thanks for checking - kind of comforting to know that it’s not just my car - I too have no desire to correct this ...since it could end up worse .

I’d be interested in others tho to see just how widespread the ‘issue’ is

Colin, is this diagram also Panoramic Roof related ? I have just been active and looked again from above and to be honest it does not look like any parts are missing. There is an apparent slight mismatch in the corner of our roof area (assembly problem ?) and there looks to be a rubber seal running across the roof - join marked with a red line. There is also very slight bowing of the side rubber strips on one side towards the rear. As mentioned before it’s nice to know but I am planning no action - Thanks Dave 🙏

Careful of that active stuff Dave.... Your red line pic looks like it.

Mine is Pano with the issue.

Its not Pano related...its roof (body) and near the outer edge roll off, directly under the production roof bar. I assume its covering a long slot to do with either Pano access or some other roof rack system.

I'll get my camera on this issue....its weird because it does stick up about 5mm or so on the pax side only. The Nissan diags show a rubber type long seal under the trim which if removed has to be replaced...the plot thickens? Or maybe its too thick?

Nissan diags are sketches..non accurate.
