Thank you all for your advice, many options to try, however, I am not a fan of putting felt or cloth over dash. Dave, Lidl are selling those wipes here in Ireland at present, so i will pick up a pack.

Billgo, it is worth a try for that price, here it’s been raining in Berlin and it’s colder (6*C) this morning, so I might try in the week. I suggest you try the β€œBlack” Plastic areas that you do not see (Lower Dash / Doors for eg) in case it goes wrong - Glossy! - Good Luck Dave 😏

Dave, I visited a local Lidl this morning but these items never arrived, but I will keep a watch in case they turn up soon.

Billgo, today is sunny and now 19*C so I just gave the Lidl Cockpit Cloth a try. Firstly I gave the Dash Area a Wipe Over with a Micro-Fibre Cloth and then wiped the area with the Lidl Cloth and the result was very positive, definitely no Shine - Dave 😁

The problem is not the dashboard, it's the reflection in the windscreen. As far as I know, the only way to stop this is with an anti reflective coating on the screen. You need to stop the reflection in the screen not dull down the dash. There are sprays on the market for doing this. It's the same as having anti reflective coating on your glasses.

Here are a couple of articles (both US) on this problem and there appears to be particular emphasis on cleanliness of the windows inside / outside and Wipers. Our QQ is only 9 months old but I changed the Wipers to Bosch Aero Twins recently, I use Rain-X for the external windows and the good old Lidl W5 Window Cleaner for the inside. Last week I cleaned the windows and we do not smoke, but it was surprising when you run your finger on the window how dirty it is.
Might be worth a try as the relevant cleaning materials are most likely already available - Dave 😊

Dave, I tried Rain-X on the windscreen last winter and hated it, I had to clean the screen many times to get back to normal. I use Rain-X anti-fog on the inside of the screen and find this great in helping to prevent misting in winter.

I am not sure if this is of any interest but I found it whilst looking through Amazon - Dave 😏
