I have a blocked exhaust pressure sensor pipe on my 1.5DCi 2011 Qashqai. Took me about an hour to find the pipe! It's at the back of the engine and I understand it can be unblocked with bicycle brake wire and a drill.

Problem is getting to it. I am just trying to unclip the pipe from underneath the sensor, but can't do it with my fingers and can't get pliers in. Do I need to remove the sensor? Looks like it might need a large 22mm deep socket to do that.

I have a P242 fault code, blocked DPF, but I think it's not regenerating due to this blocked sensor pipe.

There should be, but unfortunately no advice on how to get to it or remove it, other than it's difficult, which I've established! Impossible so far!

I found a video for a Nissan Juke with the same engine:

I have found it at least - getting it off is another matter! Haven't managed that yet...

Another thing I'm wondering about is this banjo bolt - if I do manage to remove it, does the hole in the bolt need to be lined up with the end of the pipe when it goes back in place?

Had another go at removing it but failed miserably! even if I manage to get it off, I'll never get it back on again! I also need to replace the glow plugs so I'm going to get a mechanic to do the work as too many things can go wrong, and I can't do it anyway!

I’ve just finished cleaning mine out, if you take the air pipe off from the air box it gives you some extra room, it’s tight but doable. Getting it back on is easier than you’d think, just don’t drop the banjo bolt like I did on the first attempt or your taking the underguards off to retrieve it 😂
