Qashqai Model: Mk.2 Qashqai Facelift - J11b (2017–2021)

Hi all, running a 2019 nconnecta 1.5 dci

Only just got it.

From cold I have quite a delayed throttle response in first gear and sometimes second

Feels like virtually no revs then a surge.
Makes for jerky pull aways and gear changes.

Have it booked in for next week with Nissan for possible warranty repair. (They have said if it is not a warranty repair they will charge £100 for the investigation)
Trying to make sure it is definitely a warranty fix whatever it is.

Someone suggested there was an ECU reprogramme to sort this problem but no idea if that is a nissan thing.

Any help would be appreciated..

I had this when I first got my Qash, same year and engine, think an engine update sorted the problem.

It's definitely a warranty repair and don't let them tell you otherwise.

Thanks for that. By engine update do you mean some kind of ECU reprogramming?

Also did you used to have a slightly rough idle as well before the fix?

I'm guessing you had it fixed under warranty with no problems?

Thanks again

Yeah as weasel said theres an engine ECU reprogram available which sorts it, the EGR is open to much when your setting off and exhaust gasses dont help combust as well as fresh air. After the update the EGR operation is modified a little to help with this issue

Thanks for that.

At least that
Means they should fix it under warranty...

Ey up, Stevie...Lewis is spot on re the ECU reprogram, I had mine done when the Qash was in for some recall work.

Also, yes I had the rough idle before the fix, but once updated the rough idle was sorted.

Whilst your Qash is at the Dealers, get them to check for any outstanding recalls.
