Hi
just looking for an opinion.
I've owned 2 Qashqai previously , and both ran 18 inch wheels with Continental tyres.
Good mileage , ride and handling.
Now my Tekna has 19 inch wheels.
Tyre pressures are correct , steering wheel is straight etc , but the car feels like its kind of driving on a knife end - IE a bit nervous.
Is this a trait of 19 inch wheels ?
Your thoughts please
Cheers
Steve

Can't say I feel the same, am also on 19's and on my 3rd QQ too and it's never felt more sure footed than it does on the 19s.

Steve, I agree with Pandjh we had a Tekna QQ J11A for 5 years and personally I found the 19” Diamond Cut Alloys with Dunlop’s OK. On “Worn Out” roads they were a little loud. In the winter we had 16” “Steelies” with Winter Tires and here there is a difference with a slightly louder noise.
Now we have the new QQ Tekna + with 19” “Wind” Alloys with Michelin Tires and also to me OK. The Winter Wheels are now 17” “Giacuzzo” Alloys with Falken Winter Tires.
The composition of the Winter Tires is different to Summer Tires and this I would assume to be the problem of loudness.
Regarding the Handling never a problem even when “driven” around a corner it always feels sure footed - Dave

My QQ Tekna + has the 19” “Wind” Alloys with Michelin Tyres and all seems ok to me, it feels very sure footed to me and handles like a dream.

Thanks for the input
Any thoughts of where to get the wheel alignment done - my local dealership sub contracts out - and they messed up one of my earlier cars because they didnt adjust the toe evenly across both tie rods , so the rack lost its central position
