Hi all, new to this. I have just bought a 16 plate 1.5 diesel with 22000 miles on the clock.
It was my son's company car so I got it at the balloon price. Everything is right about the car except that I can feel just a bit of slackness in everything and the tickover sounds a bit noisy. I have no previous experience of Nissans at all and if I didn't know for a fact that the mileage is correct I would be a bit suspicious.
Would this be normal for a Qashai of this age?

Welcome to the house of fun

Not sure this will help but here goes.
My first Nissan was a 1.5 Juke, pretty much the same engine you have.
My previous car was a RAV diesel, which was very noisy, so the Juke seemed very quiet.

This is a round about way of saying - it depends what you are used to hearing.
Under normal circumstances I would suggest test driving a similar car and judge from there.

Sorry I can’t be more helpful

Thanks that is helpful in as much as it is similar to my own thinking.
I have had Seats and Zafira tourers, all from new and I think that I expected the Qashqai at this mileage to feel a bit "tighter" than it does.
Maybe it has had 22000 of rough treatment (son didn't get it new) Who knows?
I only got the car because it came cheap (6000) and it wouldn't have been my first choice but other than the perceived slackness I am very pleased with it.
It is nippy and I like the short wheelbase which I am not used to.
Time will tell when I hang our small caravan on the back!

Thanks again
