Qashqai Model: Mk.2 Qashqai Facelift - J11b (2017–2021)

Post by Paul2255 »

Hello.

Just an update - so - when i've dug further into it - and with the limited information they want to give me - it wasn't a normal fuse it was a fuse on the battery terminal which had failed (when they finally ordered the correct part - 2 days later...)- they've changed it and now said everything is working fine and there are no error codes so there is nothing else wrong with the car.

So, my next question is, is it normal for one of these fuses to blow?

I'm an electrical engineer and in my line of work fuses don't just blow if there isn't anything else wrong - feel a bit nervous that the fault could appear again and i'll be stranded somewhere not quite as nice as an ice cream parlour car park on a sunny Saturday afternoon!

The Fusible Link (Block) on the Battery Terminal itself contains 7 fuses ranging from 450A (2 off) and 100A (4 off ) and a 50A fuse. I'm not sure its internally accessible which may relate to the need to change the whole thing. Perhaps it was damaged?
