Hi All

I have a red engine light and code p0545 coming up on the reader. Looking at these forums and searching youtube, looks an easy fix by cleaning out the hose to the sensor. The problem I have is the hose in the videos shown is not in the same location on my car? There is a similar looking plug but just green wires going off down into the engine, behind what i believe are large turbo (Metal) pipes so hard to get to.

There are a few results when searching p0545 on here, but no conclusive fixes.

I removed the DPF last year and had it cleaned and has been fine up to now, I also work abroad and this is my wifes car, so is it ok to drive for a couple of weeks with this light on?(Drives fine at the moment, no limp home mode etc)

Look forward to your help, as always

Matt

P0545 does not come up in either J10 or J11 diagnostics. Its generic on the web which is likely useless?

OK, I've cleared the code and immediately light came back on. Read with a snap-on diagnostic and now getting P0544 and P01525(original P0545 was with a much cheaper reader). Car is running smoothly but im sure theres a burning smell as if DPF regen it on constantly. I dont want to burn the DPF as that is pricey.

Any help guys?

Googling suggests exhaust temp sensor has failed.

Hello
I am new at this forum, I am from Spain. I have exactly the same problem and I went to the garage for changing the temperature sensor near to the exhaust. However this does not solve the problem.. I still have the red light and nothing happens in the car. The lights seems to turn off when I drive in the motorway but there is not a fix pattern. Any help on what to do would be really appreciated;)

Rufo, I have the exact same issue. Replaced the sensor but it’s come back on. When I accelerate hard, the light clears, then comes back on. Any help?
