Before you fit it you might want to put the strong cable ties on it as explained in an earlier thread on here.
It’s a hell of a job to try and do once it’s fitted.

I’d be interested to see where you go through the firewall with your wiring, is your car RHD ?
Will your buzzer be heard at speed, i have a couple but decided to fit a red light instead.

Hi, it’s still in a working progress state, my car isn’t RHD.
I’m open to suggestions. I’m looking at your creations to customize it. I’d like to place the box in the engine compartment and only route the wires for the buzzer/LED. The relay I’ve chosen has already been successfully used, it’s compatible with Arduino, and if anyone wanted to, they could even pair it with an Arduino dev board and a small display to show the liquid level.

Hello, I bought the menționez above Mercedes thermostat.
I have to make some adjustments to hoses and connectors. It has 3 connections and 3 hoses.
The Nissan Qashqai has 2 connections and 2 hoses.
Keep in touch
Later edit: I have to buy the original hoses with plug from Mercedes .

Remove the air intake, air filter and battery and you'll have a clear view of the entry.1CaDo1978 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 7:28 amHi, it’s still in a working progress state, my car isn’t RHD.

Then it's just a matter of prying a tool through with a cable protector as it isn't advised to use cables without a protection layer.
Be careful in the proces not to pry through the existing cable harness of course
In my experience from the engine bay working your way inside is easier than the other way around. Behind the pedals/under the dashboard the access is really difficult if you need both hands.

Do you think leaving the relay protected by the box in the engine bay and passing only the cables for the buzzer/led is a bad idea or is it better to leave only the sensor in the engine bay? The key thing is to create something modular to easily replace parts that may break and not just solder wires.

Thanks Niek, I’d prefer not to remove the battery in case it upsets things.lapalmeraie wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 9:38 amRemove the air intake, air filter and battery and you'll have a clear view of the entry.1CaDo1978 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 7:28 amHi, it’s still in a working progress state, my car isn’t RHD.

It would be interesting to find out if this Mercedes part has been improved since the original. Is there any part history available? Wouldn't surprise me if the Germans improved the joint with bolts and Nissan just put more glue on it!
