Hi all its my first time so sorry if I'm in the wrong place i think my alternator freewheel pulley is dying there is a rumble and having replaced all the normal pulleys and belt it looks like the only thing left I have placed an order for one but could do with some advice re the tool to remove it .

May be scrub that I have noticed over the last few days when I found there has been a high pitch squeal when the power is turned off . could that be a dying alternator ? Just gone out to a flat battery . I had the same issue with a rover once .

Hi all just a quick update I removed the alternator today , oh and was that fun on my car there no room to move . A just a heads up the Nissan alternator does not have a replaceable Pulley so getting a new full alternator was a wise move .
