Hi I recently picked up my new qashqai and noticed that the stop start doesn’t seem to work. I was in traffic today so took it out of gear and left my foot on the brake even though I had the auto hold turned on and the engine still didn’t turn off. Wondering if any one else has this trouble with a brand new car. Thanks in advance

There are so many variables in the computer control of the stop/start system.
If you had the lights, heater, rear window heater, air con, etc., etc. it will prevent the stop/start triggering.
It’s certainly more likely to work in the summer.
However, it will even trigger with the heater, etc. running. It’s baffling

Thanks for the reply. I was just hoping I didn’t have a dodgie battery as it’s a brand new car. My previous car was a ford kuga and it always worked for the whole 4 years that I owned it.
