Hi.
I would like to find out whether you managed to resolve the CVT transmission jerking? I've been having the same issues for over a year now. Not very often but happens always at low RPM, specially when going to roundabout and then slowly accelerating after slow speed or going to curves at low speed. Going to Nissan dealership tomorrow but if you figured out what was the problem would help! Thanks

Update: The car was due a service, so asked them to check out the gearbox for any faults. They didn't find any faults however reset the gearbox computer.

Basically since this it still 'bops up and down' at low speed at times, but overall is much better and much smoother than before. Touch wood I can actually live with it for now.

Whilst the above has been kind of fixed I've now found out that the rear axle is defective and needs replacing - ahhh! What next.

Hello,

When you move the lever from P to R, N, D you feel every step like gear change?

I ask because on mine CVT when I move from P to R or from R to P or D it feel the change.

On other car Ford KUGA with Powershift when I move the lever from P to R N D and reverse nothing feel or rpm change on dashboard.

On Nissan CVT the rpm change a bit and like I said I feel every step from P to R N D.

This is normal to all Qashqai CVT?

Could it be due to the fact the cvt has a torque converter and the powershift is a twin clutch gear box.

Our SMART car is the dual clutch / gearbox and does not have the creep that you get with a torque converter. The car will creep along after a little prompt from revving the engine a small amount, but when stationary its totally disengaged.

This article might be of interest the comparison of a DCT (in the new updated QQ) vs a CVT Gearbox - Dave :)

I heard that in new Qashqai put 7 step DTC transmission and 4X4i. It's true? On my country dealer don't know for a model with EDC and 4x4.

Yes correct, 7 speed DCT combined with new 1.3l petrol engine. There will be also new 1.7l diesel. So far all FWD.

DTC only on 1.3? Not on diesel 1.7?

1.3 is too small engine.
